Launch of Stream 2 and Submissions Received

Stream 2 substances for the Petroleum Sector Stream Approach were identified during the initial triage as industry-restricted substances, which are substances that may be transported off refinery, upgrader or natural gas processing facility sites to other industrial facilities but they do not reach the public market in the form originally acquired.

Information on Stream 2 substances was gathered from industry and interested stakeholders through a mandatory survey Notice issued under section 71 of CEPA 1999 (Next link will take you to another Web site Canada Gazette, Part I, Vol. 143 No. 30 – July 25, 2009). They were also invited to complete a voluntary questionnaire.
