- The Minister of the Environment and the Minister of Health published 9 Notices in the Canada Gazette, Part I, concerning the final screening assessment reports for 14 substances in the seventh batch of substances identified under the Challenge component of the Chemicals Management Plan. The proposed risk management approach documents were also released for a 60-day public comment period.[2010-03-06]

The Governor in Council has announced, in the Canada Gazette, Part I, the proposed Order Adding Toxic Substances to Schedule 1 to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 for one substance in Batch 6 of the Challenge.
