• January 30, 2010 | The Minister of the Environment and the Minister of Health published 11 notices in the Canada Gazette, Part I, concerning the draft screening assessment reports for 14 substances in the eighth batch of substances identified under the Challenge component of the Chemicals Management Plan. The risk management scope documents were also released for a 60-day public comment period. The Minister of the Environment also published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, a Notice of Intent to amend the Domestic Substances List to apply the Significant New Activity provisions of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 to four substances in Batch 8 of the Challenge.
