Government Response to recommendations from the Challenge Advisory Panel for May 8, 2009
This Government Response refers to recommendations given in the May 8, 2009 Challenge Advisory Panel report.
Response to the Panel question
The Government further clarified the information on 
Direct Black 38 within the draft screening assessment, consistent with the Panel's question.
Response to the Panel recommendation
The Government action is consistent with the Panel's recommendation on 3-chloropropene.
Next Steps
We have now entered into the 60-day public comment period for the screening assessment reports for Batch 6 and the proposed conclusions. During this time frame, the public can read the Batch 6 screening assessments, as well as the risk management scopes for the Batch 6 substances which meet one or more of the criteria set out under section 64 of CEPA 1999, and submit comments for the Government's consideration by visiting Batch 6 Challenge Substances on the Chemical Substances Website.
